Our Scottish cycling holidays
In Scotland we offer a variety of cycling holidays, most of which are self-guided, apart from one very special guided bike tour with scheduled departure dates around the Scottish highlands and islands.
In terms of self-guided options, choose between the challenging 'Scotland's grand tour' and the leisurely 'Highland fling' holiday, plus multiple-duration 'Lochs and glens' trips. All traverse some incredibly dramatic landscapes and offer a real variety of scenery, from cultural cities to tiny fishing villages, and gorgeous stretches of countryside in between. They also feature stays in some of Scotland's fines luxury hotels, many with Michelin-starred restaurants. En route there are also opportunities to sample local whiskies, visit historic castles, marvel at the local flora and fauna, indulge in a spot of fishing, play golf on world-famous golf courses, and even take a sea-plane flight over the Trossachs' glens.
The 'Highlands and Hebrides' guided cycling holiday is the jewel in our crown and a firm team favourite. We are incredibly proud of the itinerary we have created. Our customers love it too! The tour begins on the west coast, where the route winds its way past peaceful lochs, dramatic mountains and the Hebridean coastline. There are several island hops included on the itinerary, which offer up the opportunity to see the incredibly remote Hebrides in all their glory - sweeping white sandy beaches, quaint hamlets and isolated dwellings. The route also takes in the isle of Skye before finishing in the fascinating and historical city of Fort William.
The tour is possible because it includes vehicle support, which means we have been able to keep the cycling gentle and avoid any big hills or busy roads. The tour lasts 7 days and includes 8 overnight stays in our pick of the very best in Scottish boutique hotels. Your tour guide will be with you at every stage of the route, on hand to help with any problems but also to share with you their local knowledge and insider tips on the best things to see and do whilst you're there.
We specialise in bespoke cycling holidays
Aside from the above tours, we also offer tailor-made cycling holidays in Scotland. In the past these have included a 'not-so-gentle' cycling holiday around many of the country's most famous whisky distilleries, and a unique tour combining alternate days of cycling and golf in Ireland and then Scotland (with a cute ferry hop along a new route between the two!)
