Walking holidays in Ireland

Like Scotland this green and pleasant land hosts beautiful scenery, much of it unspoilt and lightly populated. So Ireland offers superb walking territory for holidays both inland, in its mountains and along its stunning coast. There is no better area to experience the spirit of Ireland than walking the west coast in Connemara. Here is raw beauty, unspoilt and in many places wild. Enjoy the uniqueness of an island community on the edge of the Atlantic Ocean on Inishbofin and tread historic routes on the pilgrim path to Ireland’s ‘Holy Mountain’. We combine this rugged and truly awesome landscape with a stay in the colourful city of Galway where you also enjoy a boat trip to the Aran islands and a close up of the Cliffs of Moher.

The tour includes some of our favourite boutique, luxury hotels offering traditional, warm Irish hospitality and excellent service. Our Wild Atlantic way walk is stuffed with legends and the spirit of Ireland, for you to discover.

We include several short boat trips and transfers so that your walks include the best views. Our walking holiday in Ireland is also a classic example of our ‘gentle walking’ ethos, with no more than 5 hours walking on the longest days. This makes for a leisurely, relaxed holiday with opportunities for golf and fishing as well should those appeal.
